The Carter Political Items Collectors Chapter

   The focus of this chapter is collecting memorabilia relating to political career of President Jimmy Carter.  Of special note is the annual convention that includes a banquet where both Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter attend.  This chapter is the only chapter that has a former president and first lady that attends their events.

Annual Convention:  Each year on the fourth Saturday in September, this chapter has an annual convention in Plains, Georgia.  Events at the convention include:

• business meeting
• auction
• guest speakers (previous speakers: Bob Lipshutz, treasurer of 1976 Carter campaign, Bert Lance, Jody Powell, Gerald Rafshoon, Rosalyn Carter, Chip Carter)

Membership is $12.00 per calendar year for regular APIC members, and $8.00 for associate members.  Membership includes the newletter.
