The Rail Splitter - The Abraham Lincoln Chapter

Lincoln_CDV.jpg

BackgroundFirst organized in 1995, The Rail Splitter publishes quarterly journals designed for those who collect or deal in Abraham Lincoln memorabilia.  The articles appearing in the journal focus on objects people collect, as opposed to just history alone.  Routinely featured are issues dealing with authenticity, value, attribution, preservation, new discoveries and the related historical background (as seen through primary source material).  The chapter also issues yearly mail auctions of Lincolniana and Civil War material.  These auctions have grown steadily since the inaugural sale, and now regularly contain over 1000 lots per installment with a full color insert.  Color images of each lot are available on the chapter website www.railsplitter.com.  On the website, the chapter also fields questions from the general public related to value and authenticity.

Back Issues: The Rail Splitter publication has been in existence since 1995.  Back issues are available from the first issue.  Backissues are available at $5.00 each.  Check the www.railsplitter.com website for available issues.
