Background:

The Gateway to the West APIC Chapter is a St. Louis-based regional chapter formed in the mid-1960's with about 14 members. As such, it is one of the oldest regional chapters in the APIC with members mostly from Missouri and Illinois. The group sponsored two highly successful APIC National Conventions in 1978 and 1995.

The chapter hosts quarterly club meetings where members discuss the hobby; show off their collections; and buy, sell & trade among themselves. New members and visitors are always welcome. Quarterly meetings are currently held at the University of Missouri-St. Louis Mercantile Library near Interstate 70. Membership in the Gateway to the West Chapter is $5.00 per calendar year.
